The Art Studios at Luci’s MudHouse in Waterloo are a perfect place to
come and relax, have some fun with paints and brushes, and create very
special personal items. Some are so practical you might use them every
day, others will be treasured as keepsakes, and perhaps a few will be
given away to warm someone’s heart.
Ceramic painting is easy. There isn’t much that can go wrong. Our
friendly staff will walk you through the steps of creating one-of-a-kind
masterpieces, and we provide the paints, necessary brushes and tools.
Our selection includes a wide variety of items from mugs and plates to
picture frames and money banks, or from home-decor to special, seasonal
pieces. The creative process can take anywhere from a few minutes, to a
couple of hours, or even a few days – that’s why we have an ‘on-hold’
shelf, where you can keep your pieces until your next visit.
After you are done, we glaze and fire your artwork. The usual turn-around
time is one week from the day you have finished painting. The items are
fully glazed—which means that they are food safe, and dishwasher- and
microwave-friendly.
